Course Overview
This course is in line with the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and meets the needs of Ofsted. It is suitable for; Childminders, Nursery and School staff (dealing with Foundation Stage) and anybody who deals with children and wants a more in-depth course. This short course is delivered at your venue, by a paediatric specialist and includes both theory and practical sessions.

- Managing Incidents
- Basic Life Support-Adult, Child & Baby
- Choking
- Casualty Examination
- Unconsciousness
- Anaphylaxis
- Fractures
- Control of Bleeding & Shock
- Asthma
- Eye & Ear Injuries
- Burns and Scalds
- First Aid Kits
- Childhood Illnesses including Meningitis & Febrile Convulsions
- Regulations
- Recording and Reporting
Course materials
Each student will receive:
- Full joining Instructions
- Paediatric First Aid training Manual
- Access to the student forum where you can review pre-course material, complete quizzes and finally download your certificate for safe keeping.
- Updates on changes issued by the Resuscitation Council UK
- Annual reminder for training
Assessment
You will be assessed on your knowledge by completion of a 20 question multiple-choice paper at the end of the course. Don’t worry as sample questions will be given throughout the day!
Certification
You will receive a certificate valid for 3 years on successful completion of the course. Please remember to keep it in a safe place; you may need to produce it at an interview as proof of achievement.
